Gavrila is a long-time mindfulness practitioner and educator. Over the last decade, she has taught mindfulness to various populations around the world. From lawyers to incarcerated women, pre-teens to those in hospice care, Gavrila knows that mindfulness can be accessible to all and is devoted to finding the entry point for each unique person. As a guiding member of the first-ever Dedicated Practitioners Program in Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness with David Treleaven, Gavrila co-facilitated global community engagement sessions and continues to build and facilitate trauma-sensitive mindfulness offerings both independently and in collaboration with organizations that enhance belonging, connection, and care.Gavrila teaches the Middle School Meditation Series at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and staffs teen retreats with both Inward Bound Mindfulness Education and Spirit Rock.

Based in California, Gavrila offers ecosomatic coaching and is currently training at the California Institute of Integral Studies to become a licensed Marriage and Family Psychotherapist. She offers annual womxn's retreats and participates in meditation retreats to inform her teachings. She is continuously humbled by the freedom and contentment that can be found through connection with the body, honoring of the grieving process, and the unfolding of ancestral wisdom.
